Grey

These are my (Grey's) tutorials. They're created as I teach myself how to use Orx, with the hope that my learning experiences can help others.

I've tried to avoid assumptions when it comes to who might be reading these tutorials, so I may explain things I don't need to, or not explain things I do. Please feel free to drop me a message on the forum, or edit these pages directly if anything like this is noticed. Otherwise; I hope this helps, enjoy!

"Tutorial 0: Build Orx From Source!"

"Tutorial 1: Set up your Development Environment."
Codelite, Code::Blocks, XCode and Visual Studio 2005, 2008 or 2010.

"Tutorial 2: Stand Alone Application."

"Tutorial 3: Scene Loading and Animation."

"Tutorial 4: Interaction and Physics."

Currently WorkInProgress: Tweaking and updating the tutorial 1 page to include changes required for vs2010, as well as creating a few other pages for linux versions and static builds. (I won't be doing the non-embedded types, as there are issues with this system currently.)

Further tutorials are in the works, tutorial 5 should give a rundown on how the FX system works, as well as some simple shaders. Then the plan for tutorial 6 is modifying the system to create menus and 'levels' we can load and unload as well. The final tutorial in this initial series will focus on the needed steps to put everything together. Some sort of win and lose states, scores and a few other not-100%-directly-orx-related pieces to make sure everything works. At least that's the plan! :)
